Disappointment (23 Oct 23) - Poem

-
Disappointments are but part of life.
Happiness is not always nigh.
Humans can be so unreal sometime
A facade of niceties that seems kind 
Raw sincerity is truly a rare find.
Distress makes us sigh.
And we ask many whys. 
But then, can those be left behind?
Just keep trying, and move along with time. 
Hope it will heal and turns out fine.

Just another day doing what we must An unexpected whatsapp msg jolted us Bringing fear and an adrenalin rush. Stopped us in our track what we did last Ah Mah has suffered a stroke at 11 plus Tannies sprung into action swift and fast Brought her to hospital in a rush Doctors wants to operate real fast Time is critical & decision required fast Many prayer request were then broacast.   ******* Video - Ah Mah's Baptism (07/10/18) ******* What a joyous day it is to be For my MIL to accept Christ at 90 Thot my ears were deceiving me Till my wife & I met her privately And she seems to declare proudly “I am now a Christian you know”, as she professes distinctly In Teochew, no less, I didn’t hear wrongly Loud & Clear, so joyous that I teared freely Once a pious pagan believer, she rejects Christ stubbornly From children to grandchildren, all tried witnessing to her faithfully But her heart was hardened and she rejects vehemently She never wanted to accept Christ personally. But when the Lord calls out to her candidly She cannot escape our Lord God Almighty. The Holy Spirit moves her heart to accept Christ readily. For a jolt came out of the blues suddenly.
