Thank God Its 2024🌤️


This is the first glorious morning of 2024, thank God I survived 2023

As the first sun rays beam thru with glee.

Yet another year has slipped by so swiftly.

How did life passed on by so suddenly.

As I take another sip of sugared kopi.

Looking back, some  fondly, some regrettably

Some happiness and some miseries.

My head is filled with much negativity.

But my heart wants to move on positively.

Considering  the inflations spreading rapidly.

From a cup of kopi to cooked  food & grocery.

Everything is increasing exponentially.

This has caused hardship to some financially

For the poor average Joes living simply.

This inflation is painful even when u go pee.

Blaming on Covid & the wars undoubtedly

Or is it the merchants' "golden opportunity."

Surely the rich and elites are unaffected definitely.

They don't  blink when buying prestigious property.

Or bidding for high COE.

Collecting Bentley, Maserati or Ferrari.

Is like collecting stamps & coins as hobby.

Let's not compare or covet bitterly.

Or acting green and salty.

It will only fuel despondence & self pity.

And now an increase from 8% to 9% GST.

Its like adding salt to an injury

1% seems negligible and small actually

But its the merchants' opportunity.

To further increase their services & merchandise indiscriminately.

And certainly not just 1% more to your tea kopi or delivery.

And they will blame the govt for being greedy.

But what can u and I do individually?

Other than succumb & go down on our knee

We just abide by the policy obediently.

We are simply law abiding citizens mostly.

Not a sovereign but mostly born & raised locally.

More importantly we are Christians save by God's grace and mercy.

Forget about affluence and spending spree.

Get used to making & pack your own kopi.

Rather than ordering from Starbucks or Spinelli.

Get some exercise & buy own Hokkien mee

Rather than order lamb chops and  atas spaghetti.

Buy ON SALE handbags and shoes for practicality

Not enrich the tycoons of Gucci and LV

Set off early and take public transport frequently.

Instead of spending on Grab and taxi.

Live with contentment and spend prudently 

Just bite the bullet & move on economically 

Thank God for what u already hv gratefully.

Practice some semblance of peace and tranquility.

Maintaining a sense of mental sanity.

And appease the soul spiritually

So as to face the whole year blissfully

The world we live now is only temporary.

Inflation or Gst here, we trust in God for providence gratefully.

The paradise we look towards to is in eternity.

Blessed New Year to all wholeheartedly. 🌹

  ******* Video - Ah Mah's Baptism (07/10/18) ******* What a joyous day it is to be For my MIL to accept Christ at 90 Thot my ears were deceiving me Till my wife & I met her privately And she seems to declare proudly “I am now a Christian you know”, as she professes distinctly In Teochew, no less, I didn’t hear wrongly Loud & Clear, so joyous that I teared freely Once a pious pagan believer, she rejects Christ stubbornly From children to grandchildren, all tried witnessing to her faithfully But her heart was hardened and she rejects vehemently She never wanted to accept Christ personally. But when the Lord calls out to her candidly She cannot escape our Lord God Almighty. The Holy Spirit moves her heart to accept Christ readily. For a jolt came out of the blues suddenly.
